A (aged almost 9): If you get married, can we sit at the front with the immediate family... or behind with the distant family?
Me (surprised at his knowledge of conventional wedding protocol and his concern for my matrimonial status): Sweetheart, you can sit where ever the rest of the immediate family sits.
A: Just me? Or me and A. and I. and K .and A.?
Me: All of you, of course.
A: Promise?
Me: Promise.
A: Yeah! (punches air with first)
