Colonialism

I taught colonialism on Wednesday. The students had all watch a movie on colonialism and/or resistance to colonialism.

One really interesting question someone asked was: "does anyone believe colonialism was a good thing?"

That led to a discussion of how Europeans believed they brought "infrastructure" and "new ideas" (um, like, racism), let alone religion...
