I saw this ad on TV. They said, "Having painful periods? Consider an elective hysterectomy..."
Uuuuh, what?! I thought it was a joke. But it wasn't. Weird.
I hope there is an equivalent ad that advises men to get their itchy balls chopped off.

at least they didn't say, "Crazy wife? Consider forcing her into a hysterectomy, as that is why her female self is so hysterical!" as they did in Victorian times. Now it's "Hey women, why not hate your body with the modern conveniences of science?"
gotta love that industrial-medical complex.
